Story behind the art:

“Hope Bouquet”

This piece is a variation of the “Protest” painting I created in 2020 with the input of around 100 friends at the beginning of the pandemic. In a time of angst and fear, the simple botanical reminders of Spring around the world, God’s constant work tangibly seen, brought me hope, a protest of the darkness.

I love creating these bouquets with their lose, bold strokes. They remind me that Light always wins, always overcomes the darkness.

Framing suggestion:

This piece will work beautifully in a 15x19-inch or 16x20-inch frame, leaving room for the deckled edges to be seen. At the framers, you might request a “float mount” so the painting “floats” on top of a white or ivory mat. You can also create this same look on your own by purchasing the frame and mat separately and resting the painting on top of the mat, under the glass.
